On July 3, 2007 the Goshen Historical Society made history when a fire apparently started by a painter's torch occurred.  Fortunately, damage to the building was minor.  However, most of the exhibits were displaced, smelled of smoke and had to be cleaned.  Museum reopens in August 2007.
